How this works & disclaimer

What Real Food Nation is

A free, educational directory that points you to trustworthy tools for finding real, unprocessed food, plus honest general information about feeding your family and pets. We are not a store, a broker, or a delivery service. When you find a farm or product, you deal with them directly — we never take a cut or resell your information.

We collect no personal data

This site has no logins, no accounts, and no tracking of you. Our forms simply open your own email app so you can send us a message — nothing is stored on a server here.

Verify everything yourself

  • Listings are starting points. Confirm what a farm sells, how they grow or raise it, prices, and pickup directly with them.
  • Raw milk and some other real foods are regulated differently in every state. Know and follow your local laws.
  • Labels can be misleading — see our label decoder and, when in doubt, ask the farmer.

Not medical, nutritional, or veterinary advice

Everything here is general information, not personalized advice. Food and diet needs vary from person to person and pet to pet. For your own health, talk to your doctor or a registered dietitian. Before changing your pet's diet — especially with health conditions, pregnancy, puppies/kittens, or seniors — talk to your veterinarian. Our pet-brand notes summarize common veterinary and expert commentary; they are not endorsements, and we have no financial relationship with the brands or retailers named.

In an emergency

If a pet eats something toxic, contact your veterinarian, an emergency clinic, the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center (888-426-4435), or the Pet Poison Helpline (855-764-7661) immediately.
